If you've participated in a full GV Design Sprint, you'll know that the full sprint can take between 3-5 days depending on readiness and efficiency. With a group of roughly 7 people, that equals about 168 - 280 hours (roughly $5k - $10k). That commitment can be too high and tough to secure, but that's not necessarily a reason to forego design sprints altogether. There is an alternative can help get those wheels spinning. An abbreviated "Design Microburst" can be conducted in 3 hours, and maximize the best aspects of the design sprint - giving your organization back the balance of time to focus on getting work done while driving innovation. This session will provide a brief overview of the formal design sprint method, ground rules for a design microburst, and a couple of quick exercises to give a feel for putting it into practice.
